The Apothecary Diaries revealed a special winter visual for February, featuring Jinshi and Basen walking down a path of yellow flowers. The anime previously revealed numerous monthly/seasonal visuals on the 22nd day (Nekoneko Day) of each month.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 is currently ongoing, and it is set to run for two consecutive cours. Studios OLM and TOHO Animation studio returning to animate, Norihiro Naganuma as the director. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime. The voice cast consists of:

Natsu Hyuga writes the The Apothecary Diaries light novel, with illustrations by Toko Shino. It is serialized by Shunfunotomo. The series has 2 manga adaptation, one written by Itsuki Nanao and illustrated by Nekokurage, and one written and illustrated by Minoji Kurata. The former is published by Square Enix and serialized in Monthly GanGanwhile the latter is published by Shogakukan and serialized in Monthly Sunday Gene-X.

J-Novel Club is publishing the novel in English, while Squre Enix is publishing the manga. The story follows Maomao, a young apothecary who ends up getting sold to the emperor’s palace as a lowly servant. As she isn’t the type of character to just stay obedient, she ends up helping Jinshi, the handsome official at the palace. She ends up promoted, and now has plenty of adventures there, all the while accidentally making Jinshi fall for her more and more.
