Two Upcoming Horror Yuri Anime Collab in New WataTabe x KimiShinu Illustration

Two upcoming yuri (girls’love) horror anime, This Monster Wants to Eat Me (WataTabe) and I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day (KimiShinu) have revealed a collaboration illustration featuring their protagonists. You can read more details about both below.

About Watabe

This Monster Wants to Eat Me (Watabe) is adapting the manga by Sai Naekawa, which has been serialized in Dengoki MoH since August 2020. The anime is produced by STUDIO LINGS, with Naoyuki Kuzuya as chief director and Yusuke Suzuki as director. Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of series composition and scripts, Nozomi Ikuyama handles character designs, Keiji Inai composes the music, and Ryosuke Naya serves as sound director.

The voice cast includes Yui Ishikawa as Shiori Oumi and Fairouz Ai as Miko Yashiro. First announced in October 2024, the anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025. A teaser trailer and character visuals have been released. The official synopsis (via Yen Press):
“I’ve come to eat you,” so softly utters the mermaid Shiori as she emerges from the sea and takes high school girl Hinako by the hand. Hinako lives alone in a town by the sea and possesses an unusually delicious body that is irresistible to nearby monsters. To ensure that she matures to the best condition, Shiori seeks to protect Hinako—all so that someday, she can devour every piece of her. A longing thought comes to Hinako’s mind; “Maybe this monster can make my wish come true.”

About KimiShinu

Originally a manga written and illustrated by Aono Nachi, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day (KimiShinu) began serialization in Comic Yuri Hime in 2018 before moving to digital platforms PixivYurihime and Ichijin Plus. The anime adaptation is produced by studio Roll2, directed by Takudai Kakuchi, with series composition by Jukki Hanada, character designs by Kyoko Fuyu, and music by Yukari Hashimoto.

The main voice cast includes Rie Takahashi (Shina), Rina Hidaka (Mimi), Asami Seto (Lizzy), and Yui Ishikawa (Ali). A teaser visual and trailer were recently released, while the premiere date is yet to be announced. The official synopsis (via Kodansha USA):
An orphanage for girls is actually a boot camp, turning out magical child soldiers for a gruesome war. Yet love finds a way to blossom amid bloodshed, in this dramatic, much-anticipated yuri manga that is spiritual kin to the likes of Revolutionary Girl Utena, Otherside Picnic, and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.
