Date A Live Anime Announces 12 Projects for 12th Anniversary, Starts With Season 5 Recap Program
The Date A Live anime series announced 12 new projects for its 12th anniversary, starting with a Season 5 recap program in April. Since its debut in 2013, the franchise has had five TV seasons and numerous movies. The 12-project anniversary campaign is inspired by the 12 Spirits present in the anime.
The anniversary celebration has revealed two of the major announcements, with the rest set to share more details in the future.
Project 1: Season 5 Recap Special Program on April 10
The first official project is a special streaming program titled Date A Live V Recap Special. Featuring Voice Actors Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shido Itsuka), Marina Inoue (Tohka Yatogami), and isan Endo (MIO Tamiya), the Program will premiere on April 10,
The date is significant for two reasons: it marks both the first anniversary of Date A Live V and ties into Tohka’s name (with “Toh” meaning “10” in Japanese). The special will include:
- A recap discussion of Date A Live V
- A Q&A session with the series’ author, Koshi Tachibana
- A fun variety segment
- New information and sneak peeks into the remaining anniversary projects
Project 2: 12th Anniversary Store in Gamers – April 12–27
As the first collaboration/special event, Date A Live will launch the “12th Anniversary Store in Gamers.” This will be a limited-time event and feature:
- Newly illustrated goods
- Merchandise sales
- Lottery giveaways and more
It will be held in Japan from April 12 to April 27.
10 More Projects to Come
The official Date A Live anniversary website lists 12 projects in total, with 10 still marked as “Coming Soon.” We can expect more collaborations, merchandise drops, and possibly announcements related to future anime content or events.
