HIDIVE Now Available on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Several Key International Markets
AMC Networks’ streaming service HIDIVE is now available as a monthly ad-free add-on subscription on Amazon Prime Video Channels in four of its key international markets: the United Kingdom (£4.99), Canada (CA $ 8.99), Australia (I $ 8.99)and New Zealand (NZ$8.99).
This rollout is accompanied by expanded distribution in the United States, where the HIDIVE app is now accessible on Samsung, LG, and VIZIO smart TVs. Together, these moves mark a strategic effort to strengthen HIDIVE’s presence across select English-speaking markets.
Subscribers in these regions enjoy HIDIVE’s deep and diverse catalog, which includes both current hits and classics, as well as the platform’s exclusive first-run simulcasts. Some of its titles include OSHI NO KO, I Parry Everything!, The Eminence in Shadow, Ragna Crimson, Farming Life in Another Worldand The Dangers in My Heart.
HIDIVE features both English subtitles and dubs, episodic series, and feature films of different genres on its website. A key highlight of the service remains its exclusive access to seasonal simulcasts, which are streamed at or near the same time as their Japanese broadcast.
The new distribution partnership between HIDIVE and Amazon Prime Video reflects a strategic re-entry into the same core English-language markets (with New Zealand newly added) rather than a broader international expansion. In November 2023, the service was cut in many countries outside of North America. At the time, HIDIVE told us that they were “strategically focusing our operations on the fast-growing global markets that represent approximately 98 percent of our current customer base.”
This move also aligns with Amazon Prime Video’s increasing focus on anime. In a recent interview, Amazon executives outlined a “several year” plan to expand their global anime content strategy. The platform has licensed high-profile titles including Rebuild of Evangelion, Look Back (winner of the 48th Japan Academy Award for Best Animation), and the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.
