DanMachi Reveals ‘Major’ Announcement on April 4 at 10th-Anniversary Event
The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Dan Machi) anime shared that a “major” announcement would be revealed on April 4, 2025 — the 10th anniversary of the anime series.

Dan Machi creator Fujino Omori quoted the post, adding, “The 10th anniversary of the DanMachi anime is almost here! Thank you very much ✨“
Fans immediately began speculating on what the major announcement could be. One of the most common hopes was an adaptation of the Argonaut story, first shown in the Freese memory game before receiving a novel series by Omori. Other picks were a continuation/reboot of Sword Oratoriaor even Dan Machi Season 6, which Omori had some comedic thoughts about last week.
Following the announcement of the Dan Machi 10th anniversary event, where this upcoming “major” announcement will be revealed, Omori said he was “truly happy to bring Syr’s story, which has been present since DanMachi Season 1, to such a satisfying conclusion.” He added, “To all the fans who have followed the series until now—thank you so much. And if you want to see Season 6, let’s all ask Syr and Lady Freya to charm the anime staff into making it happen!” Fans can check out his full comments and the 10th anniversary logo here.

The Dan Machi anime premiered on April 4, 2015, releasing 74 episodes, 3 OVAs, and a movie to date. J.C.Staff is credited for animation production and also produced the spinoff series, Sword Oratoriawhich premiered in 2017.
