Re:ZERO announced an otome game titled Re: School life in a different world from zero project announced as an April First project. While obviously a joke, they revealed the main visual and teaser trailer, featuring voices by the main voice cast:

• Rie Takahashi as Emilia (main character)
• Yusuke Kobayashi As Subaru Natsuki
• Nakamura Yuichi As Reinhard from Astrea
• Takuya Eguchi as Julius
• Yui Horie as Ferris

The game’s synopsis is described:

There is a legend at “Lugunica Academy.” —

It is said that those who enjoy their youth the most at this academy will be granted happiness for life. In the season of new encounters, you become a student at Luginica Academy.

On your first day, due to some unexpected trouble, you’re invited to join the student council. Winning the favor of the uniquely eccentric student council members, you’re welcomed as one of them.

What awaits you are heart-pounding, exciting, and fun days of youth with them!

Re:ZERO Background

The Re:ZERO light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki first started on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2012. The light novel version began in January 2014, featuring illustrations by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. Both are currently ongoing. The first season of the TV anime adaptation ran for 25 episodes from April to September 2016. Season 2 followed with 2 split cours, which aired through the Summer 2020 and Winter 2021 anime seasons.

Studio WHITE FOX returned to animate Re:ZERO Season 3which premiered with a 90-minute special episode on October 2. It was directed by Masahiro Shinohara, with Haruka Sagawa as the character designer/chief animation director, Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition, and Kenichiro Suehiro on the music.

We got to interview some of the Re:ZERO Season 3 staff, including the director and character designer, as well as Subaru’s Japanese voice actor Yusuke Kobayashi.

The new season aired over 2 parts:

• Attack Arc (8 episodes, aired from October to November 2024)
• Counterattack Arc (8 episodes, began on February 5, 2025)

Season 4 is currently in production.
