
Aoashi Season 2 Anime Officially Announced for 2026 With Studio Change
Aoashi Season 2 anime has officially been announced for 2026, with a new studio taking over. Production I.G animated the first season, while TMS Entertainment (SAKAMOTO DAYS, Dr. STONE) will be in charge of the sequel. A teaser visual was also revealed.

Aoashi (stylized AO ASHI) by Yugo Kobayashi began in January 2015. It is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine. The manga recently exceeded 20 million circulating copies and is set to end with 40 volumes. The first season by Production I.G ran for 22 episodes from April to September 2022. Crunchyroll is streaming it, describing the story:
After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group. Together they’ll bring the youth club and Aoshi’s talents to new heights!
